Court clears way for full trial in Nizam VII palaces’ partition case

The City Civil Court in Hyderabad dismissed an application filed by Prince Azmet Jah and Shekhar Jah seeking rejection of a property partition suit. This legal decision is considered a major setback for Azmet Jah and Shekhar Jah in the ongoing dispute. The suit was originally filed in 2021 by Nawab Najaf Ali Khan concerning the properties of the late Nizam VII, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur. By dismissing the interlocutory application, the XI Additional Chief Judge is allowing the partition case to proceed to a full trial. This company operates the famous and iconic Taj Falaknuma Palace, which is among the properties contested.
