హిందూ–ముస్లిం ఐక్యత, సద్భావన సందేశాన్ని ప్రతిబింబించే సంక్రాంతి వేడుకలు మంగళవారం జూబ్లీహిల్స్లోని రౌనక్ ఎస్టేట్లో ఘనంగా, సంప్రదాయబద్ధంగా నిర్వహించబడ్డాయి. ఆసఫ్జాహీ వంశానికి చెందిన 9వ నిజాం, ఎస్టేట్ల కస్టోడియన్ హిస్ హైనెస్ రౌనక్ యార్ ఖాన్ ఈ వేడుకలకు ఆతిథ్యం అందించారు. వివిధ మతాలు, వర్గాలకు చెంది న ప్రజలు పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో పాల్గొనడంతో హైదరాబాద్కు చిరకాలంగా ఉన్న సౌహార్దం, సహ జీవనం, సంయుక్త సాంసృ్కతిక వారసత్వం మరోసారి ప్రతిఫలించింది. విశాలమైన రౌనక్ ఎస్టేట్ను సంప్రదాయ సంక్రాంతి రంగులతో అలంకరించారు.
భోగి మంటలు, సూర్య దేవునికి పూజలు, సంప్రదాయ రంగవల్లులు, హరిదాసు కీర్తనలు, గంగిరెద్దుల ప్రదర్శనలు, జానపద నృత్యాలు, పిల్లలు–పెద్దలు కలిసి పతంగులు ఎగురవేయడం, శాంతి కోసం వేద మంత్రాల పఠనం వంటి కార్యక్రమాలు ప్రేక్షకులను విశేషంగా అలరించాయి. ఈ సందర్భంగా హిస్ హైనెస్ రౌనక్ యార్ ఖాన్ మా ట్లాడుతూ.. “కృతజ్ఞత, పంచుకోవడం, సమృద్ధిని ప్రతిబింబించే పండుగ సంక్రాంతి. అన్ని మతాల వారు కలిసి ఈ పండుగను జరుపుకోవడం ద్వారా ఐక్యత, పరస్పర గౌరవం, సోదరభావమే మన దేశ బల మని చాటుతున్నాం. సమగ్ర సంసృ్కతికి ప్రతీకగా నిలిచిన హైదరాబాద్ వారసత్వాన్ని భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు అందించడం మన బాధ్య త” అని అన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా అప్పటి హైదరాబాద్ రాష్ట్రానికి ఆరవ నిజాం అయిన మిర్ మహబూబ్ అలీఖాన్ గారి లౌకిక వారసత్వానికి నివాళి అర్పించారు. కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా నిర్వహించిన ప్రత్యేక సమావేశంలో హిస్ హైనెస్ రౌనక్ యార్ ఖాన్తో పాటు జైభారత్ జాతీయ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి విజయవిహారం రమణమూర్తి సౌహార్దం, సోదరభావంపై సందేశాలు ఇచ్చారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని జైహో (జైభారత్ అసోసియేషన్ ఫర్ ఇంటెగ్రిటీ, హార్మనీ ఞ ఒనెస్ — ట్విన్ సిటీస్ యూనిట్) నిర్వహించింది. ప్రస్తుతం తెలంగాణ, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్తో పాటు మరో 12 రాష్ట్రాల్లో జైహో కార్యకలాపాలు కొనసాగిస్తోంది.
Sankranti celebrations reflecting the message of Hindu-Muslim unity and goodwill were grandly and traditionally held on Tuesday at Raunaq Estate in Jubilee Hills. The event was hosted by the 9th Nizam of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and Estate Custodian, His Highness Raunaq Yar Khan. With a large number of people from various religions and communities participating, Hyderabad’s long-standing harmony, coexistence, and composite cultural heritage were once again reflected.
The spacious Raunaq Estate was decorated with traditional Sankranti colors. Activities such as Bhogi bonfires, prayers to the Sun God, traditional rangolis, Haridasu keerthanas, Gangireddula performances, folk dances, kite flying by children and adults, and the chanting of Vedic mantras for peace impressed the audience significantly. Speaking on the occasion, His Highness Raunaq Yar Khan said, “Sankranti is a festival reflecting gratitude, sharing, and abundance. By celebrating this festival together across all religions, we are proclaiming that unity, mutual respect, and brotherhood are our country’s strength. It is our responsibility to pass on Hyderabad’s heritage, which stands as a symbol of composite culture, to future generations.”
Through this program, a tribute was paid to the secular legacy of Mir Mahbub Ali Khan, the sixth Nizam of the erstwhile Hyderabad State. In a special meeting held as part of the program, along with His Highness Raunaq Yar Khan, Jai Bharat National General Secretary Vijayaviharam Ramana Murthy gave messages on harmony and brotherhood. This program was organized by JAIHO (Jai Bharat Association for Integrity, Harmony & Oneness – Twin Cities Unit). Currently, JAIHO continues its activities in 12 other states besides Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
