Telangana govt invites firms to restore heritage buildings

The Telangana government has invited corporate and real estate firms to participate in the restoration of heritage buildings through a public-private partnership model. Municipal Administration Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan urged companies to utilize Corporate Social Responsibility funds to preserve historic structures and enhance the city’s profile. The government has committed to providing quick approvals and full institutional support for firms submitting restoration proposals. Implementation responsibilities have been assigned to the Quli Qutb Shahi Urban Development Authority and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Active restoration projects are already making progress at prominent sites such as Sardar Mahal and Mir Alam Mandi. Authorities have further directed the identification of private partners to restore an additional twenty-one heritage structures across the city.
